Happy Sunday

i deleted my previous blog.

Some days are just full of rainbows & butterflies, like today.

I came out of my hermit shell & decided to go to my dorm floor bbq we had with our brother floor from Emerson dorm. 'twas delicious.

For the most part, I sat and ate with girls I was familiar with chatting about this and that. At one point I realized how thirsty I was so I got up and walked over to the food table to pour myself a drink. Then I heard a voice. A very attractive voice said to me "how's it going?"

I looked up to see a pair of blue eyes squinting at me in a smile. I immediately melted. I had to force my mind to think long enough to stammer out a "going good".

We pounded it since our hands were too greasy for shaking. He was nicely dressed. I think he was wearing Toms.

i'm still smiling. tehehe

God, thank you for this wonderful day & for the new encounters I've had. (I made other friends besides him.) I spent a delightful day wrapped in His love.

ps. I did suffer from a major food coma & knocked out for a good 3 hours.

on Christ the solid rock, I stand

all other ground is sinking sand.

To celebrate Christ's resurrection on the third day, I've been listening to Third Day (haha) I forgot how great they are! Check out some of their songs: Cry Out To Jesus, It's Alright, Blessed Assurance, Show Me Your Glory, Your Love O Lord.

April

In the Bible, James said, "You believe in God? Congratulations. So do the demons!"

"As the body without spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." - James 2:26

Happy April ! March just marched right on. Celebrating by studying some New Testament class material (ugh)
Please listen to "When I Look At You" - Miley Cyrus. Vocals are terrible but it's one of her better songs (=

Encouragement to be Faithful

Paul's letter to Timothy,

"For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life - not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel! (The exclamation mark shows my excitement at this point, it's really just a period in the passage.) ....That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day."

Banana & honey for breakfast (:
